Warehouses

Use warehouses to organize inventory by physical location.

What this is for

Warehouses group items so your team can find stock faster and know where each spool belongs. Every received item is assigned to one warehouse.

Before you start

You need access to the Inventory tab. Most users can view warehouses; creating warehouses may depend on your company setup.

Steps

  1. Tap the Inventory tab.
  2. Tap Create Warehouse (or Add a Warehouse).
  3. Enter a clear warehouse name — for example a bay, shelf area, or room name your team already uses.
  4. Save the warehouse.
  5. Tap the new warehouse card to open Warehouse Inventory and confirm it is ready for stock.
  6. When receiving stock, select this warehouse on the Receive Stock screen.

Tips

  • Use consistent naming so everyone picks the same warehouse for the same physical area.
  • You can have multiple warehouses even in one building — match names to how operators talk about locations.
  • An empty warehouse is normal until you receive stock into it.

Common issues

The warehouse name already exists

Choose a different name or check whether someone already created that location.

I cannot create a warehouse

Your account may not have permission. Ask a company admin to create the warehouse or update your role.

I created a warehouse but do not see items

Items only appear after stock is received into that warehouse via Receive Stock.

I picked the wrong warehouse when receiving

Ask your admin about moving or correcting the item. Always verify the warehouse on Receive Stock before saving.
