Step-by-step guides for using Coilinx on the shop floor.
Reports
Use Reports to review inventory totals, value, stock status, and recent activity.
What this is for
Reports give company admins a picture of what is on hand, what is running low, what has been used, and whether data is complete enough to trust. Employees do not see the Reports tab — only admins.
Before you start
- You must be signed in as a company admin.
- Useful reports need inventory data — receive stock and keep material type pricing up to date.
Steps
- Tap the Reports tab.
- Start with Inventory Snapshot for a quick overview of totals and health.
- Open Low Stock to see items that may need reordering attention.
- Open Current Value to review dollar value on hand (requires pricing on material types).
- Open Used Inventory to see items that are no longer active.
- Open Activity for a timeline of recent inventory events.
- Open Data Quality to find missing measurements or incomplete records.
- Open Inventory Health for stale or checked-out items that may need follow-up.
- Tap Ask AI on Reports screens to ask Coilinx AI plain-language questions about your data (Pro plans).
Report guide
| Screen | What it shows | |--------|----------------| | Inventory Snapshot | High-level counts and summary metrics | | Low Stock | Items below thresholds or needing attention | | Current Value | Inventory value based on material pricing | | Used Inventory | Archived or consumed items | | Activity | Recent receives, checkouts, returns, and changes | | Data Quality | Gaps in weight, length, or pricing data | | Inventory Health | Stale stock, long checkouts, operational risks |
Tips
- Fix Data Quality issues first — other reports are more useful when underlying data is complete.
- Use Low Stock together with Activity to see both what is low and what changed recently.
- Coilinx AI works best after you have received stock and run at least one report refresh.
Common issues
The snapshot is empty
Add stock via Receive Stock. Reports need inventory records to summarize.
Values show dashes
Pricing may be missing on material types, or items may lack weight/length data. Check Data Quality and material type setup.
I do not see the Reports tab
Only company admins see Reports. Employees use Home, Inventory, and Check Out.
Coilinx AI does not answer much about reports
Company analysis requires a Pro plan and enough inventory history. You can still ask Coilinx AI general how-to questions from Home or Inventory.
