Step-by-step guides for using Coilinx on the shop floor.

Inventory

Use Inventory to browse warehouses, find items, and open item details.

What this is for

Inventory is where you see what stock you have, which warehouse it is in, and how much remains on each item. Use it to look up a spool, review remaining length or weight, and open archived or used items when needed.

Before you start

Stock must already be received into a warehouse. If everything looks empty, complete Receive Stock first.

Steps

  1. Tap the Inventory tab.
  2. On the Inventory home screen, tap a warehouse card to see items in that location.
  3. To find a specific item, use Search Inventory from the inventory flow.
  4. Tap an item to open Item Details — remaining amount, material type, warehouse, and status.
  5. To browse by material instead of location, open Material Type Inventory from the inventory navigation.
  6. To see items no longer active, open Archived Items when available for your role.

Tips

  • Warehouse view is best when you know where stock is physically stored.
  • Material type view is best when you want all spools of one material across warehouses.
  • Item details are also reachable after scanning during Check Out or Return (Weigh In).

Common issues

I cannot find a warehouse

Create the warehouse first: Inventory → Create Warehouse.

The warehouse list looks empty

Receive stock into that warehouse. New warehouses stay empty until items are added.

I only see used or archived inventory

Active and archived items may appear in separate views. Check Archived Items or Used Inventory in Reports (admins).

Search returns no results

Confirm the item was received and is still active. Try searching by material type name or warehouse.
