Step-by-step guides for using Coilinx on the shop floor.
Receive Stock
Use Receive Stock when new material arrives and needs to be added to active Coilinx inventory.
What this is for
This flow creates a new inventory item (such as a spool) with a starting weight and optional starting length. The item appears in the warehouse you choose and shows up in Inventory and Reports.
Before you start
- At least one material type must exist (Settings → Manage Types).
- At least one warehouse must exist (Inventory → Create Warehouse).
- To use live scale weight, connect a scale first (Settings → Manage Devices).
Steps
- Open Home and tap Receive Stock.
- Select the material type for the new item.
- Choose the warehouse where the stock will be stored.
- Enter the starting weight. If your scale is connected, use the scale reading instead of typing manually.
- Enter the starting length if your workflow tracks length on each item.
- Review all fields on the screen.
- Save the item. It now appears in Inventory under that warehouse.
Tips
- Double-check weight and length before saving — correcting after save may require editing the item or using return-weigh workflows.
- If your material type uses density, make sure density was set up correctly on the type so length predictions stay accurate.
- Name or label the physical spool to match what you see in the app if your team uses printed labels.
