Troubleshooting

Use this guide when something in Coilinx does not work as expected.

What this is for

This page lists the most common problems and points you to the right fix. For detailed steps, open the linked guide for that topic.

Steps

1. Identify which screen is failing (Receive Stock, Check Out, Inventory, etc.).
2. Check whether required setup exists (material type, warehouse, scale connection).
3. Confirm the app has needed permissions (Bluetooth for scales).
4. Refresh by leaving and reopening the screen, or reconnecting the scale.
5. If data looks wrong in Reports, check Inventory and Data Quality (admins).

Common issues

Why will my scale not connect?

Open Settings → Manage Devices. If Coilinx Scale is not listed, power-cycle the scale, wait 60 seconds, and try again. Allow Bluetooth permissions. Ensure only one device is connected. For Pi-based controllers, reboot the controller and retry Wi-Fi Setup if needed. See the Scale Connection guide for full steps.

Why is the material type dropdown empty?

No material types exist yet. Create one: Settings → Manage Types.

Why is the warehouse dropdown empty?

No warehouses exist yet. Create one: Inventory → Create Warehouse.

Why does Inventory Snapshot show little or no data?

No stock has been received yet, or you are not signed in as an admin. Receive stock first; employees should ask an admin to review Reports.

Why does Coilinx AI say it cannot help yet?

There may not be enough inventory data for company analysis, or your question may be outside available help content. Try a how-to question ("How do I receive stock?") or add inventory first.

Why do I not see a screen I expected?

Some tabs (Reports) are admin-only. Other actions appear only after setup data exists.

Check Out or scan is not working

Scanning is available from Check Out and Return (Weigh In) flows, not from a standalone scan tab. Open Check Out from Home or the Check Out tab.

I cannot sign in or my account is pending
